This pattern will be familiar to lots of you - it's the lovely Ishbel shawl from Ysolda. I knitted it for my pal Caroline in thanks for being invited to be Godmother to her baby boy, Sonny. It was made entirely between Christmas and New Year as I convalesced from some hideous flu-like virus and watched every episode of the West Wing back to back on Blinkbox.

That is a beautiful pattern - I've never made it but am acquainted with one made by a friend. What a good job you did of it too! Nice to have something to show for time "lost" to illness.
