1000th post celebration!

Anyone feeling a bit flat as the new year begins?

Here in Paisley we have had gale force winds for the third time in less than a month and have lost fence panels and greenhouse glass galore. We're also full of cold and exhausted from our visits and festivities....although we had a lovely time over Christmas and New Year, hope you did too.

BUT - this is my 1000th post on Purlpower and I thought this warranted some kind of celebration so anyone leaving a comment on this and subsequent posts between now and midnight on Wednesday 11th January 2012 will be entered into a prize draw. Maximum one comment, per person, per post - I hope that's clear!

The prize is to have your very own pair of handknitted Purlpower socks. Winner gets to choose the colour, design etc. I'll buy the yarn and knit the socks.

Good eh?! (I'm illustrating this post with some of the socks I've knitted in the past year)

Congratulations! 1000 posts is a lot. And yes, your prize is very generous! I'd love to have a pair of purlpower-knitted socks.

What an amazing prize! It's taken me a while to turn on to the virtues of handknit socks, but a while back I knitted some Skew socks and they're about as perfect as socks can get.

Happy New Year!

I do love a good handknitted sock! I knit loads for other people but not for me - it would be nice if I had a pair!!!

Congratulations on your 1000th post, I really should get my blog back up and running. A lovely idea of making someone socks, I would love these as I never get anytime to make anything like that for myself as usually too busy knitting for others.

Thanks
